Framingham Marlborough Chardonnay is a wine that relies on harmony between quality fruit and winemaking technique to achieve balance.
WINE MAKING
Fruit was sourced from three sites in the Central Wairau Valley subregion. Clones 96 (50%) and Mendonza (50%) were used. No sulphur was added to the juices at the point of extraction. Fermentation occurred spontaneously in a 500L French Oak puncheon, 15% of which were new. All components underwent malolactic fermentation and were aged on full ferment lees for 10 months prior to being blended and bottled.
TASTE
Aromatics of ripe yellow citrus, nectarine and brioche. Subtle toasty notes are present. A finely textured palate with an array of flavours from Meyer lemon to stone fruits with a lively acid to savour.
FOOD MATCH
All kinds of soft cheeses, white meats and rich seafood such as koura (crayfish) and smoked warehou.
Classy wine, perfect combination of savoury with lovely fruit sweetness. Long finish, excellent with or without food.

Delicious and such good value for money
Initially I was going to order 6 bottles but decided to go with 12 and am so happy I did. Rich, full bodied Chardonnay which was a pleasure from the first mouthful to the last. I would definitely buy this again!
